Art Show

I enjoyed working together with my class creating a welcoming event for the students and parents from our practicum schools. I liked how everyone pitched in and helped. There was a large variety of artwork which I took photos of to add to my list of teachable art projects. Thanks for the great ideas. The Art Show provided a transition from practicum and back-to-school assignments for me.
For the Art Show, I helped hang artwork, greeted students at the door and wrote thank-you letters to the UNBC Arts Council and the Dept. of Education for the funding support. Holly gracefully reviewed the letters before I printed and delivered them.

I too enjoyed the Art show and got a lot of ideas from what I saw. While it was a transition from one school to another, it was also a strong link for me. I was not only honoured by a student from the practicum just completed but also saw five students from my first practicum who, amazingly, remembered me. They also reinforced my belief that students are very accomodating because they had nothing but good memories of my feeble efforts when I stood before them trying to teach them. It was also a strong reminder of how quickly these young students change as they had all grown considerably taller and lost a number of teeth since I was with them just a few short months ago.

Just wanted to say THANKS again to Leisbet and my other colleagues that helped me understand how each visual art project was created. It is reassuring that our class is a healthy community of learners.
